A Cappella at CHS

Up the Octave, our treble group, and Sons of Pitch, our tenor and bass group, are student-led groups that are part of our Vocal Arts program. Each ensemble typically has members in 9th-12th grades, and all members are part of at least one choir class during the school day. Both Sons of Pitch and Up the Octave give energetic, entertaining performances of contemporary music, performing several times a year at festivals and school and community events. The groups choose their own repertoire and rehearse at members’ houses once a week and at CHS monthly. The groups are student-led and actively guided by their adviser.
